Stack stopt met het account dat hij had (was gratis).
Ik heb voor mijn platenmaatschappijtje een betaalde stack. Daar gaan we op verder.
Ik ben nu alles van Fred’s cloud naar mijn pc aan het kopiëren en dan zal ik alles weer uploaden naar de mijne. Betekent wel dat de links in zijn posts niet meer werken.

Ik heb nog maar beperkt zicht op zijn enorme collectie digitale muziekbestanden. Toch wil ik dit blog niet teloor laten gaan, dus om deze dag het begin van de rest van het blog te maken, heb ik een bestandje gemaakt met muziek waarvan ik niet kan ontdekken dat Fred die al had gepost.

It is sad but true.
I still have little insight in Fred’s immense digital archive of music. But the blog has to go on. On this special day I wil make a restart of this blog. I selected some files of music, that to my knowledge Fred hasn’t posted yet.
De Cylinders were a dutch band.I could only find some info on Discogs.
And a newspaper reported a short revival of interest in 2009.

I have had Fred’s harddisks and NASses for several months now.
I have put all musicfiles from those disks to the largest one and removed all doubles, triples and quadruples. Afterwards I categorised them alfabetically for artists and chronological for releases and concerts.
Now I have to sort out which files he uploaded to his blog and which not yet. Then I will upload something ones in a while. It is 4Tb of musicfiles in total, so the blog wil stay live for quite a bit.
Inmiddels heb ik enkele maanden Fred’s harde schijven en NASsen in huis.
Ik heb van al die schijven de muziek samengevoegd op de grootste schijf en alle dubbelingen (drie-, viervoudig soms) er uitgehaald en alles alfabetisch qua artiesten en chronologisch qua releases en concertopnamen gerangschikt.
Nu moet ik gaan uitvogelen, wat Fred al heeft gezet op zijn blog en wat nog niet. Daarna zal ik bij tijd en wijle wat uploaden. Het is totaal zo’n 4Tb aan muziekbestanden, dus het blog hoeft niet stil te vallen.
Yesterday I didn’t just get acces to this blog, but also to Fred’s digital archives. Much he didn’t post on his blog yet, but I don’t know what deals he made with befriended bands and musicians. I’ll try to sort that out and if something can be posted, you’ll find it here.
I do post in English, just like Fred did, but is anyone reading this whom doesn’t understand Dutch? Please react then, because otherwise I’ll only post in Dutch in the near future.
Gisteren niet alleen toegang gekregen tot de beheerskant van dit blog, maar ook tot Fred’s digitale archief. Veel materiaal dat hij hier niet heeft gepost, maar ik weet ook nog niet hoe dat gaat met rechten of afspraken. Hij heeft ook veel materiaal van bands en artiesten die hij persoonlijk kende namelijk. Ik dat proberen uit te vogelen en als er wat gepost kan worden, zie je het hier verschijnen.
